A case of Cushing’s Syndrome due to overuse of topical steroid in the diaper area Kayı Eliaçık, Ali Kanık, Saadet Çelik, Muammer Büyükinan, Esin Albudak, Ali Rahmi Bakiler Department Of Pediatrics, Tepecik Training And Research Hospital, Izmir, Turkey Diaper dermatitis is one of the common problems in infancy and topical therapy with glucocorticoids are frequently used for treatment. However, prescription of preparations with potent corticosteroids and/or misuse of them without prescription might seldomly lead to Cushing Syndrome. We present an infant with diaper dermatitis who developed Cushing Syndrome due to prolonged clobetosel propionate use. With this case, it was also emphasized that patients who will receive treatment with topical steroids should be offered information about the dose, duration, and type of the treatment and their systemic side effects. Diaper bölgede aşırı topikal steriod kullanımına bağlı gelişen bir Cushing Sendromu olgusu Kayı Eliaçık, Ali Kanık, Saadet Çelik, Muammer Büyükinan, Esin Albudak, Ali Rahmi Bakiler S.b. İzmir Tepecik Eğitim Ve Araştırma Hastanesi, İzmir Diaper dermatit infantlarda yaygın görülen bir sorundur ve tedavide topikal glukokortikoid sıklıkla kullanılır. Bununla beraber yüksek potensli steroidlerin reçetelenmesi ve/veya reçetesiz olarak yanlış kullanımı ender olarak Cushing Sendromuna yol açar. Burada diaper dermatitli bir sütçocuğunda uzamış klobetazol propiyonat kullanımına bağlı gelişen Cushing Sendromu sunmaktayız. Yine bu olgu ile topikal kortikosteroid kullanacak hastalara doz, tedavi süresi, tedavi şekli ve yan etkileri konusunda bilgi sunulması gerekliliği vurgulanmıştır.
