Abstract

Pleural effusion in childhood is usually caused by infectious diseases of the lung and generally related with pneumonia and tuberculosis. Effusion due to non-pulmonary reasons is not common. We presented here two cases who admitted with dyspnea and chest pain, clinically were diagnosed as pneumonia and the malignancies were detected during the course of the illness.
