Abstract

Our aim is to examine the contents and knowledges of the "Biography" book that written by Prof. Dr. H Hale Künüçen about Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu who was to make very importend contributition to Turkish medical education, teaching and development of Turkish universities. Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu is a Pediatrician and Pediatric Nephrology Specialist. At the same time, Enver Hasanoğlu served as the Dean of Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine (1984-1988) and Gazi University Faculty of Medicine (1988-1992). He also served two terms as the President of the Gazi University (1992-2000).

Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu has a great deal of experience in the development of Universities in Turkey and closely witnessed this period. During this time, Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu had important duties in universities, contributed to all developments and witnessed them closely.

Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu was born in 1946 in Kirkuk. He came to Istanbul from Kirkuk and graduated from Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1969. Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu started as a pediatric assistant in the Children's Clinic at Hacettepe in 1969.

After Enver Hasanoğlu became a Pediatrician (1973), he worked for 2 years (1976-1978) in the field of Pediatric Nephrology at Glasgow University and specialized in the field of Pediatric Nephrology. Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu is one of the pioneers of Turkey in the field of Pediatric Nephrology.

Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu became Associate Professor in 1978 and was promoted to Professor in 1983 and He worked continuously for 44 years until his retirement (June 1, 2013).
