Abstract

Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFH),etiology could not be detected, also known as necrotizing histiocytic lymphadenitis usually associated with cervical lymphadenopathy, and self-limiting illness.Disease is characterized by cervical lymphadenopathy, fever, leucopenia and high erythrocyte sedimentation rate.Clinical and histopathological features of the disease often may lead to misdiagnosis as lymphoma, tuberculosis lymphadenitis and infectious mononucleosis. Diagnosis of the disease is on the histopathological examination of the lymph nodes. It is seen very rare in children.This report discusses an example of disease by using the literature information.
